Former ice cream shop owner sentenced with sexual assault

Dennis Cox, 59, former owner of Baskin-Robbins in Pullman, pled guilty to three charges of child sexual assault Friday.

Cox was charged in July for child rape and molestation after the victim reported sexual abuse at Baskin-Robbins, his home and his cabin to the Pullman Police, the Evergreen previously reported.

Cox was sentenced to over four years in prison, three years of supervision by the Department of Corrections, $800 in fines and must register as a sex offender, according to a news release from the Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office.
