WSU Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced the hiring of Mitch Straub as senior associate athletic director of the Cougar Athletic Fund on Wednesday during an interview with Pullman Radio Morning News.

Straub was the associate director of development at Ohio State University before he decided to come to Pullman, where he’ll replace Uri Farkas, who left for Northern Arizona University in January to join former WSU Senior Associate Athletic Director Mike Marlow. Marlow is now the AD at Northern Arizona.

Chun worked with Straub at Ohio State from 2010-2012 when he was the executive associate AD for external relations for the Buckeyes.

Chun said a formal announcement of Straub’s hire will come later this week, according to the interview.
