Freshman right-handed pitcher Brandon White is the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

White pitched 6 1/3 no-hit innings last Thursday against Santa Clara to earn his first career win in his first career start. He also recorded nine strikeouts and no walks in the Cougars 10-0 shutout victory over the Broncos.

White was a 14th round pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2018 MLB Draft and is the first WSU freshman pitcher to receive the honor since Ryan Walker in 2015.

White was also named the Evergreen’s Athlete of the Week for his performance.
