University and city ‘hang together’
The Daily Evergreen reported Aug. 21, 1986 the City of Pullman started hanging WSU banners in downtown. “WSU and the city are trying very hard to work together,” said then-mayor Carole Helm. “Our futures are intertwined.”
WSU banners are still hung up all around Pullman.
Depot to be ticket office
On Aug. 21, 1967 The Daily Evergreen reported a former Union Pacific Railroad station will turn into a ticket office for WSU Athletics. The ticket office was previously located in Bohler Gym.
The location is now a bank and the WSU ticket office is now located in Martin Stadium.
