The City of Pullman was awarded $500,000 by the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program to build a Veterans Memorial Park.
This is the maximum grant that can be applied for through the Local Parks Category of the WWRP.
The estimated cost of the park is $1.75 million.
To be eligible for the grant, the park must be completed by the end of 2027.
Fundraising, donations, and the grant have raised around $1 million for the park.
