The city of Pullman has selected Frank Mulcahy to serve as its next Public Works Director, pending approval by the City Council tonight.
He would replace Sean Wells, who was promoted to City Administrator, replacing Mike Urban. If approved, he would begin the job on January 12th, 2026.
He has previously served as the Public Works Director of San Juan County, in northwestern Washington.
“My son and I live in Pullman and are personally invested in the city’s success,” said Mulcahy, in a quote posted to the City of Pullman Instagram account. “I look forward to the unique challenges and opportunities of managing Pullman’s Public Works Department, and to providing steady leadership, fiscal stewardship, and collaborative community engagement as we move together into Pullman’s next chapter.”
