American rapper and producer Lil Jon, known for best for his smash hit “Turn Down For What,” is performing at the University of Idaho’s Spring Parent and Family Weekend as Moscow and Pullman spring activities ramp up. Check out WSU baseball’s return for another weekend series, an annual march for sexual assault awareness, and de-stress session with dogs in the WSU library in this week’s “What’s Happening.”
- WSU Baseball vs. Gardner-Webb University – WSU Cougars will play against the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs over three days at 4:05 p.m. on April 9 and 10 and at noon on April 11 at the Bailey-Brayton Field
- Pups and Cups Game Night – Pups and Cups Cafe hosts weekly game nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday night. This free event has a variety of games such as board games, cards and video games
- Take Back the Night Rally – The annual march for raising awareness on sexual assault will start at 6 p.m. on April 10 at Wilson-Short Hall. The march will take participants through the campus streets to join together as a community to end sexual assault violence
- Zeppoz Weekends Breakfast – On Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Zeppoz holds a full breakfast and full service bar.
- Farmers Market – Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Pullman Market on Main holds their local farmers market in downtown Pullman.
- Lil Jon Concert – Lil Jon featuring Harry Mack will be performing over at the University of Idaho from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on April 10 in the ICCU Arena. Tickets are available online at UITickets.com
- WSU Tennis vs. Seattle University – The Cougars face off against the Seattle University Redhawks at 11:00 a.m. April 11 at the WSU outdoor tennis courts
- Beans ‘n’ Jeans Online Auction – A week-long online auction held from 12 a.m. on April 11 to 4 p.m. on April 18. The auction supports the Palouse Habitat for Humanity; proceeds will be going to the construction of two homes in Uniontown and a veteran building in the Palouse
- Celebration of Life & Remembrance for Our Animal Companions – WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting its quarterly remembrance and celebration of life for our animal companions from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. on April 11 at the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center. Guests are welcome to personalize a steamer for their beloved pet which will be added to a remembrance garland
- WSU Tennis vs. University of Portland – The Cougars take on the University of Portland Pilots at 11:00 a.m. April 12 at the WSU outdoor tennis courts.
- WSU Baseball vs.University of Portland – WSU Cougars will play against the University of Portland Pilots at 12:05 p.m. on April 13 at the Bailey-Brayton Field
- #CougsGive Day of Giving – From 12 a.m. to 12 a.m. on April 15, CougsGive is an annual celebration where participants get to donate to part of the school they care about the most. It promotes community growth and what it means to be a part of the Cougar family
- Books & Boops: De-Stress with Therapy Dogs – From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 15 on the second floor of the Terrell Library Atrium. Palouse Paws will be hanging out with their therapy dogs. All are welcome to pet the pups
