Dear readers,
Hi! My name is Lucy Stutesman, I’m going to be the editor-in-chief of this lovely newspaper for the summer and fall semesters.
I wanted to take some time to let you all know our website will be undergoing some changes and updates. Nothing to worry about, just don’t be surprised or scared at the amazing new masthead that will grace the top of our web page.
Not just the website will change, we’re reorganizing how The Daily Evergreen is structured. One could say we are graduating from three sections to two. We’ll be merging the News and Life sections into one larger Campus/Community section, which will be split up into two sections on the website. Stories listed under Campus are about news, events, clubs and people related to WSU. Community will focus on everything in Pullman, outside of WSU. We’re hoping this change will allow for more efficiency within the Evergreen. Sports will not be affected by this change.
I’d like to take a second and thank the Evergreeners who are graduating, including Editor-in-chief Levi Coovert, Managing editor Connor Seuferling and Social media editor Libby Jones. Without their effort and hard work, we wouldn’t be able to make these exciting changes!
Just because its summer doesn’t mean we won’t be writing. You can expect our newsletter to be coming in directly to your inbox twice a week, chock-full of excellent and well written articles on the news affecting you. You can sign up for our newsletter here.
If you run into me around campus or in town, feel free to say hello. I’m always happy to chat with our readers. And if you’re a student interested in getting involved with the Evergreen, reach out to me at [email protected], we’re always looking to hire new reporters.
I’m excited for what’s to come in the next months, and I’m excited for you to see it.
Best,
Lucille Stutesman
Editor-in-Chief, The Daily Evergreen
