According to a Washington State Athletic Press Conference with Head Coach Kamie Ethridge. When asked about upcoming challenging matches against Stanford and the University of Oregon, Ethridge said that they need to be better and in the transition to defense, Utah beat them in those transitions, giving them some easy baskets. Ethridge also said that it’s just effort and communication and running. She said that Utah pursued the ball harder than them and beat them on the board.
“We are not afraid of hard; nobody is going to feel sorry for us. You know, step up, put your chin out. And be excited about practicing today and about the opportunities we have going forward,” said Ethridge.
