Washington State University Women’s Basketball returns to Beasley Coliseum this Thursday Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. to take on Seattle University.
The Cougs return from defeat against Gonzaga University last Thursday 75-50 up in Spokane, WA. Then, their final road stop was against Oregon State University where they fell short 79-51.
In the game against OSU, junior center Alex Covill dominated in points with a total of 15, averaging about 10.3 and 3.9 rebounds a game. According to WSU Athletics, Covill has a total of 146 career blocks and is currently No. 6 all time in program history and one away from moving to No. 5.
The Cougs are currently ranked No. 10 with a conference record of 4-12 and overall record of 5-24 in the West Coast Conference and with two conference games left until they head to Las Vegas for the WCC Tournament.
Currently the Redhawks rank No. 12 in the WCC with a conference record of 1-15 and overall record of 5-22. The Redhawks will take to the road one last time for the season to Pullman before returning back to the Redhawk Center in Seattle for their senior night.
The Redhawks most recently played against University of Portland where they fell short by 4 points 65-61.
A notable player for the Redhawks is Ella Brubaker. Brubaker averages 16.2 points a game and 4.5 rebounds a game.
This game will mark the fourth game against the Redhawks. In the previous three games WSU has not lost a single game. This game will also be the two other times that WSU has faced off with Seattle since 2014-2015.
The Cougs will continue to stay in Beasley for their last game against Saint Mary’s College of California this Saturday at 12 p.m.
