Welcome everyone! As WSU students begin to return for the fall 2023 semester, I have noticed a significant uptick in neighborhood noise during the past week. Summer may finally be winding down, but my neighbors most certainly are not.

If you are looking for ways to escape your typical house party, look no further than the following events. Stay safe and enjoy!

Lost in the Palouse Landscape

  • What: Art show featuring work by Ludmilla Parez Saskova
  • When: 9 a.m.–6 p.m. weekdays until the end of August
  • Where: 1912 Center in Moscow

Pullman Farmers Market

  • What: Pullman’s annual farmers market
  • When: 3:30–6 p.m. Wednesdays
  • Where: Brelsford WSU Visitor Center

Moscow Farmers Market

  • What: Moscow’s annual farmers market
  • When: 8 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturdays
  • Where: Main Street and Friendship Square in Moscow

Music on Main

  • What: Local bands and artists perform downtown between June–September
  • When: 6–8 p.m. Thursdays
  • Where: Pine Street Plaza in Pullman

Student Employment Fair

  • What: WSU’s student employment fair for fall 2023 semester’s Week of Welcome
  • When: 1–3 p.m. Aug. 15
  • Where: Glenn Terrell Mall

Moscow Mountain Music Fest

  • What: Music festival featuring musicians from the Pacific Northwest and West Coast
  • When: 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Aug. 12
  • Where: Latah County Fairgrounds in Moscow
  • Cost: $12 for general admission, free for 12-year-olds and younger

Be #PullmanProud Ice Cream Social

  • What: Ice cream social featuring games and activities
  • When: 3–6 p.m. Aug. 14
  • Where: Brelsford WSU Visitor Center

“Point Break”

  • What: Kenworthy Theatre presents R-rated “Point Break” as a part of their Totally 90s Action series
  • When: 7 p.m. Aug. 15
  • Where: Kenworthy Theatre in Moscow
  • Cost: $7 for general admission
