Happy Homecoming Week, Cougs! Even though this is my last year at WSU, this will be the first Homecoming football game I am attending, so you can bet I am really excited.

Whether you are participating in Homecoming events or not, I have many events for you to look into this week.

Farm Stand

  • What: Weekly farm stand with fresh organic vegetables grown on the student farm
  • When: 3–6 p.m. Fridays through October
  • Where: WSU Organic Farm

Pullman Farmers Market

  • What: Pullman’s annual farmers market
  • When: 3:30–6 p.m. Wednesdays
  • Where: Brelsford WSU Visitor Center

Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love

  • What: Exhibition of work by internationally recognized artist Jeffrey Gibson
  • When: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesdays–Saturdays until March 9, 2024
  • Where: Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU

Here in a Homemade Forest: Common Reading Connections

  • What: Exhibition of work by Indigenous and non-Indigenous American artists inspired by the WSU common reading book “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer
  • When: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesdays–Saturdays until March 9, 2024

Recital Series

  • What: Recital featuring Fabio Menchetti on the piano

Pep Rally

Mystery at the Museum

  • What: After-hours event to become a detective in a who-done-it mystery

Eclipse Watch

  • What: Viewing of partial solar eclipse
  • When: 8:07–10:44 a.m. Oct. 14
  • Where: Jewett Observatory 

Live Music

  • What: Jazz Concert featuring WSU Jazz Big Band, Jazz Northwest and Heather Bambrick
  • When: 7:30–9 p.m. Oct. 17
  • Where: Kimbrough Music Building

Grad Fair

  • What: Day for fall graduates to complete all graduation requirements, including placing orders for commencement items and more
  • When: 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Oct. 19
  • Where: Compton Union Building

Disney and Desserts 

  • What: Pullman High School fundraiser featuring evening of Disney music, character visits and desert to help raise money for Disney Camp Experience and Professional Workshop in April
  • When: 6–8 p.m. Oct. 21
  • Where: Pullman High School
  • Cost: $5 for youth and seniors, $10 for adults; tickets sold at door and are cash/check only

Halloween Bash

  • What: Trunk-or-Treat, carnival and haunted house
  • When: 3–7 p.m. Oct. 28 for carnival; 6–9 p.m. for haunted house
  • Where: Gladish Community Center in Pullman
  • Cost: Free entry for carnival; $5 for haunted house
