CUB brings back the Nintendo 64 for Throwback Thursday

From Staff Reports

Nobody is too old to play classic video games like Super Smash Brothers or Tony Hawk Pro Skater on the Nintendo 64. At least, that’s the idea behind Throwback Thursdays, which begin today in the CUB Lair.

Two Nintendo 64 systems will replace the Wii stations every Thursday, in addition to the six Xbox consoles and one Playstation 3 console already available to students. Four games, including Super Smash Bros., Super Mario Kart, Tony Hawk Pro Skater and Pokemon Stadium will rotate each week and be posted on the white board outside of the video game station.

“I thought about what I as a student would enjoy seeing here at the CUB,” said Assistant Coordinator Tim Rasmussen. “When I suggested it, the whole staff got behind me. So we made it happen.”

He hopes this remains a permanent addition to the CUB’s entertainment schedule.
