Kappa Alpha Theta to rock the casa for children in foster care

From staff reports

Burritos and a concert will raise money for children in foster care.

Kappa Alpha Theta will support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the sorority’s national philanthropy, this Thursday at its “Rock the CASA” event.

CASA is an organization that supports local children in foster care.

All-you-can-eat burritos and a concert will be featured at the event hosted within the sorority house on Monroe Street in Pullman. Performers include Bo Alan, Free the Jester, and Olson Brothers Band.

Freshman communication major Sophia O’Brien said the party will be a dry event open to the entire community of Pullman.

Last year, the sorority raised $6,000, O’Brian said. Their goal is to exceed that amount this year.

Thetas will sell tickets for the event inside of the CUB today from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Prices will remain $5 until the table closes. The event will take place 6–9 p.m., and community members can pay $7 at the door.
