Sasquatch Music Festival announces lineup

From staff reports

Since 2002, the Sasquatch Music Festival has been the go-to festival in the Pacific Northwest over Memorial Day Weekend. Held at The Gorge Amphitheatre, popular performers such as Kendrick Lamar in 2015, Macklemore in 2013 and the Foo Fighters in 2011 have headlined at this festival.

This festival usually sells over 20,000 tickets. Last year, only 11,000 ticket holders attended the festival. The lineup for this year’s show has just been released. With a combination of both old and new music, these artists were picked to help the festival “get back to its insanely crowded heights after [the] down year,” according to Inlander’s website.

A few of the more well-known artists who will perform at the 2017 Sasquatch festival will be Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean and Chance the Rapper.

In 2008, the festival began the tradition of a comedy tent, featuring comedy artists such as actor, writer, and stand-up comedian Zach Galifianakis.

This year, the comedy tent will feature stand-up comics Fred Armisen, Sasheer Zamata and Beth Stelling, as well as others.

Tickets for the 2017 Sasquatch Music festival go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 on the Sasquatch website. Three-day passes are $295 and basic camping spots are $99.50 per car.
