‘Tasting Crimson’ features alumni-produced wines

From staff reports

WSU will host the “Tasting Crimson” wine tasting event today from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center.

Guests can taste four red wines; a merlot, Malbec, cabernet sauvignon and Syrah. The samples each come from WSU alumni-owned wineries: Fidelities, William Church Winery, Wawawai Canyon Winery and Coeur d’Alene Cellars.

Elizabeth Rudd, marketing promotions coordinator for the WSU Visitor Center, said the event gives WSU alumni the opportunity to showcase their wines for fellow alumni.

“A lot of the people who come to the events are alumni, so they do enjoy catching up with each other,” Rudd said.

The wineries will also be selling their wines at the event, and a complimentary wine glass will be given to participants while supplies last.

The event costs $5 per participant, and ID will be checked at the door. Tickets are available at the door starting at 4 p.m.
