Clara Oliver: “You couldn’t pay me to show up at a celebration of exclusion and hate like this. The idea that it would be anything else is absurd.”

Sandy Ross: “Horrible, hateful plan. Shame on everyone who wants to do this. It defeats every equality people have worked so hard to attain.”

Paige Taylor: I remember the WSU College Republicans did a similar ‘demonstration’ by putting up a chain link fence and telling people to ‘go home.’ It was insulting not only to myself, but students of all different backgrounds. … Being a Coug is about embracing fellow Cougs, no matter where they come from. … I hope students can talk about this issue openly. …”

Joel Jones: “… If they truly wanted dialogue, then they’d simply sit down and talk (all sides of course). Why intentionally shove a prop in everyone’s face if dialogue is your true motive?”

Gretchen Kaufman: “How about a Statue of Liberty and voter registration booth across from the wall. She will show the way.”

Tim Lewis: “To make the wall 100% Trump authentic, I hope our esteemed College Republicans have found a way to make UW pay for it.”

Jeff Kuure: “If you don’t want to be called Nazis, bigots or racists, you could maybe try not actively supporting someone who has a long history of being a bigot and a racist and a more recent one of retweeting and/or refusing to condemn actual white supremacists.”
