Detectives from the Quad City Drug Task force were allegedly shot at while conducting a surveillance operation in Clarkston this morning. 

The suspects fled the scene in a late model Pontiac Grand Am but were apprehended within 2 blocks after officers rammed the vehicle with an unmarked police car. Officers took five suspects into custody following the pursuit.

The incident took place one block away from Heights Elementary and Lincoln Middle Schools. Both schools were immediately placed on lockdown until the situation was determined to be safe.

No police officers were injured during this incident.

Detectives from the Washington State Patrol will be investigating the incident.
