“Skills that students pick up from this conference and then other leadership opportunities that they’re involved on campus all benefit future career endeavors,” said Ashley Morehouse, ASWSU and leadership adviser.

The annual Pacific Northwest Leadership Conference facilitated by WSU Student Involvement will be held on Saturday.

Ashley Morehouse, ASWSU and leadership adviser, said the conference gives students the opportunity to learn about engaging in community service, getting involved and discovering leadership opportunities. There will be a keynote speaker and breakout room sessions during the event.

“Students really learn anything about themselves in terms of their leadership style and learning more hard skills like using the [Coug] Presence platform,” Morehouse said.

All six WSU campuses will be involved in this conference. Morehouse said any WSU student, graduate or undergraduate, can be involved in the conference if they are interested.

“Skills that students pick up from this conference, and then other leadership opportunities that they’re involved on campus, all benefit future career endeavors,” she said.

Morehouse said the conference will be held on a platform called Hopin, and students can sign up on the WSU Student Involvement website. Registration closes on Friday.
