Start – Daniel Thomas, RB, Dolphins

Expect Daniel Thomas to keep the good vibes rolling Sunday, when the Dolphins go to work against a Baltimore Ravens defense that seems a shadow of its former self. Baltimore surrendered over 200 yards of rushing last week, and chances are Miami will have the opportunity to run the ball plenty against the Ravens barring early offensive hiccups. Thomas should play a good bounce-back game after struggling against the Saints.

Sit – Steve Johnson, WR, Bills

Joe Haden demonstrated last weekend that he is an NFL corner fantasy owners should fear. Haden held standout wide receiver A.J. Green to a mere 51 yards without a touchdown last week. With Steve Johnson as part of sometimes lethargic Buffalo Bills offense, fantasy owners should once again beware of Haden this week. Johnson will have a long day dealing with Haden’s physicality. This matchup generates enough questions to warrant giving Johnson a seat on the bench this weekend.

Start – Eli Manning, QB, Giants

No, I haven’t lost it; and yes, I know the Giants are 0-4. However, last week I advised fantasy owners to start ANY Denver Broncos wide receiver against the pathetic defense of the Philadelphia Eagles. As it turns out, the Broncos stormed over the Eagles defense and Peyton Manning remained hot. Eli Manning is struggling, but he has some talented receivers in Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, who should be able to wreak havoc behind the Eagles’ safeties. Philadelphia is allowing more than 30 points per game to opponents, and the Giants are looking to get the media off of Tom Coughlin’s back. Expect Eli to shadow his brother Peyton this week and turn in a respectable performance in Philadelphia.

Sit – Anquan Boldin, WR, 49ers

Houston’s defense is stout. It took the Seahawks to the final three minutes of overtime and frustrated receivers like Sidney Rice and Golden Tate all day. I don’t expect Anquan Boldin to get any love from a Houston defense already fuming after last week’s loss and that allows less than 200 yards of receiving per game. Put Boldin on the pine. He might help the 49ers collect a W, but there are likely better receiving options on your fantasy team.
