Guide: How to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Pullman 

As vaccine eligibility expands, COVID-19 vaccine appointments become scarce

Pullman Regional Hospital will administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at its upcoming clinics. Those over 18 years old are eligible.

COVID-19 vaccine appointments are filling up quickly as vaccine eligibility expanded April 15 to all individuals over 16 years old in Washington state.  

As of April 20, Whitman County has administered over 29,280 COVID-19 vaccination doses, according to the Washington State Department of Health’s COVID-19 data dashboard.  

For those interested in scheduling an appointment, Pullman Regional Hospital, Palouse Medical and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, among others, currently offer vaccines to the Pullman community. 

Pullman Regional Hospital 

PRH, located at 835 SE Bishop Boulevard, will administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at its upcoming clinics, according to the hospital’s COVID-19 vaccine page.  

Those over 18 years old are eligible to receive the Moderna vaccine, according to the vaccine’s Emergency Use Authorization fact sheet

Individuals can schedule an appointment at the hospital by calling 509-336-7722 to leave a message or emailing [email protected], according to the page. PRH staff will call back to schedule an appointment. 

To cancel or reschedule a vaccine appointment, individuals can call or email the hospital, according to the page. PRH is open 24 hours seven days a week. 

Pullman Family Medicine  

Individuals can obtain upcoming vaccine clinic dates at PFM, located at 915 NE Valley Road, on its COVID-19 vaccine pageVaccine-eligible individuals can schedule an appointment at PFM by calling 509-332-3548. 

In case of appointment cancellations, individuals can get put on a waitlist by sending an email to [email protected] including their first and last name, phone number and date of birth, according to the page.  

Those interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine at PFM can obtain more information about vaccine administration and eligibility on PRH’s COVID-19 vaccine page.  

PFM’s office hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.  

Palouse Medical  

Palouse Medical, located at 825 SE Bishop Boulevard, Suite 200, is administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in its upcoming vaccine clinic April 22, according to Palouse Medical’s COVID-19 page

Those already receiving care at Palouse Medical or Pullman ReadyCare can schedule a vaccine appointment by calling 509-332-2517. Individuals under 18 years old need parental consent to receive the vaccine, according to the page. 

Palouse Medical’s hours of operations are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  

Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics 

Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics, located at 1200 W Fairview Street in Colfax, is offering COVID-19 vaccines by appointment only.  

WHMC’s vaccine clinic schedule is available online on its COVID-19 vaccine page. To schedule an appointment, individuals can call 509-397-5719 between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the page.  

Since holding its first vaccine clinic January 12, WHMC has administered a total of 3,921 COVID-19 vaccines, according to the page.

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories 

SEL is holding a vaccine clinic for individuals over 18 years old from noon to 4 p.m. April 22 at 2390 NE Hopkins Court. Another vaccine clinic will take place 9 a.m to 2:30 p.m. April 24 at the SEL Event Center, according to a news release.   

The center is located at 1825 Schweitzer Drive. The clinic on April 24 is open to individuals over 16 years old, according to the news release. 

Both vaccine clinics are by appointment only, according to the news release. Those interested in receiving a vaccine can schedule or find additional information about upcoming clinics at selinc.com/vaccine

To schedule an appointment over the phone, individuals can call SEL at 509-592-4784. 

Sid’s Pharmacy

Sid’s Pharmacy, located at 825 SE Bishop Boulevard, Suite 301, offers the COVID-19 vaccine by appointment only. Vaccine-eligible individuals can schedule an appointment at the pharmacy online. 

Because of a high call volume, Sid’s Pharmacy asks individuals not to call to schedule a vaccine appointment, according to the pharmacy’s website. Instead, the pharmacy asks individuals to check the website for updated vaccination appointment availabilities.  

The pharmacy’s hours of operations are 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays. 

Cougar Health Services  

Currently, there are no available appointments to receive the vaccine at CHS. 

Students can check vaccine appointment availability at CHS on its COVID-19 vaccine webpage. Those who schedule an appointment must bring their CougarCard or another form of ID with them. Students can schedule an appointment by logging into the CHS patient portal

CHS is located in the Washington Building on 1125 SE Washington Street. Students can contact CHS at 509-335-3575. The CHS medical clinic and pharmacy hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. 

Walmart  

COVID-19 vaccines are currently out of stock at the Pullman Walmart, located at 1690 SE Harvest Dr. 

Individuals can check COVID-19 vaccine and appointment availabilities by entering their zip code on Walmart’s website

The Walmart Pharmacy is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. The pharmacy’s phone number is 509-334-2981. 

Safeway 

Vaccine-eligible individuals can schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at Safeway, located at 430 SE Bishop Boulevard online.  

The pharmacy’s hours of operations are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Individuals can call the Safeway Pharmacy at 509-334-0819. 

Rite Aid 

Rite Aid, located at 1630 S Grand Avenue, is administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Washington State Department of Health’s vaccine locator.  

Those eligible can schedule an appointment on Rite Aid’s website

The pharmacy’s hours of operations are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Rite Aid’s phone number is 509-334-7222.
