A rally and march will begin at 4:30 p.m. today at Reaney Park to stand in solidarity with Palestinians.

People are encouraged to bring signs to spread awareness about the mistreatment of Palestinians on Israel’s borders and the recent and ongoing violence in the West Bank and Gaza, according to a post on the Pullman Community Congregational United Church of Christ’s Facebook page.

The event is co-sponsored by the Pullman Islamic Center and the Pullman Community Congregational United Church of Christ, according to the post

Scheduled guest speakers at the event include Rev. Steve Van Kuiken, Raed Alsawaier, Imam for the Pullman Islamic Center, and Asif Chaudhry, vice president of WSU’s Office of International Programs, according to a post on Pullman Islamic Center’s Facebook page.

Event organizers “call upon the Biden administration and Congress to demand a cease-fire and an end to the indiscriminate violence,” according to the post.
