This marks the 13th season of the Pullman Farmers Market, which looks to bring locally-sourced products to the community. 

The market will include six vendors selling fruits, vegetables, baked and home goods among others, said market manager Morgan Sherwood.

“We’re connecting not only the vendors with customers, but the customers with vendors,” Sherwood said. “If you’re buying tomatoes from a vendor you can say ‘hey I’m helping send their kid to soccer camp’ as opposed to Walmart and huge chains.” 

Vendors are selected through an application process and must submit appropriate licensing. Vendors specializing in locally-grown or produced products are prioritized. Sherwood said he hopes to see more prepared food available for visitors before the season’s end. 

The market takes place from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center, according to a WSU Events post. 

SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program payments will be accepted, according to the post.
