The WSU Integrated Design and Construction Lab released its fall 2021 newsletter, which contains tips for those who live in residence halls and how they can conserve energy. 

IDCL recommends turning off office equipment and other appliances over Labor Day weekend to conserve energy, according to the newsletter.

A typical 200-square-foot residence hall room can generate a significant amount of greenhouse gas, so it is important to reduce pollution as much as possible, according to the newsletter.

IDCL is dedicated to helping members of the WSU community make more conscientious decisions about their energy usage, according to the newsletter. 

The newsletter comes after a survey IDCL issued to the WSU community regarding energy efficiency and comfort. Living comfortably while reducing energy use was a top concern for the community. 

As a result, IDCL released a training module open to all members of the community to learn more about energy efficiency.  

IDCL also provided a list of days that tend to be significant to energy sustainability so readers can prepare to conserve energy.
