The Latah County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two male suspects as part of an investigation into a homicide that occurred on Monday in rural Latah County.
According to a news release, investigators are attempting to locate Matthew McKetta and Keagan Tennant. Keagan Tennant is Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant’s adopted son.
The two are suspected in the shooting death of an 18-year-old Pullman resident, and a carjacking in Moscow, according to a Facebook post from the Pullman Police Department. They are believed to be armed and dangerous, and may be driving a white 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with Idaho license IBX8758.
The sheriff’s office asks that anyone with information on either of the two men contact them at 208-882-2216. The office also cautions the public not to approach the men, and to call 911 if they are seen.
PPD posted on Facebook saying Pullman investigators are assisting the Latah County Sheriff’s Office and the Moscow Police Department in locating Keagan Tennant and McKetta.
The post states that Chris Tennant has not been in regular contact with Keagan Tennant, but is helping investigators to find him and bring him into custody.
“Commander Tennant wishes to pass along his heartfelt condolences to the shooting victim’s family,” the post states.
