Whitman County sees record-high COVID-19 numbers
Free rapid tests can be ordered on Wednesday; individuals limited to four tests
January 18, 2022
Whitman County reported a record-high number of COVID-19 cases last week.
The single-day number of cases broke the high three times last week, according to a Moscow-Pullman Daily News article.
In the first 10 days of January, Whitman County saw over 600 COVID-19 cases, according to the Whitman County Public Health website. On Friday alone, the county recorded a total of 107 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total up to 6,867 cases.
Starting Wednesday, people can order free at-home rapid tests through a government website, according to the article.
People can order four tests with no shipping fees, and a credit card number is not required to receive the test, according to the website.
