On Monday, several vehicular-related crimes were reported throughout Pullman.
The first case was a motorized bicycle and an SUV colliding, said Aaron Breshears, operations commander for the Pullman Police Department.
“It was a non-injury collision between an electric bicycle and an SUV that occurred in a round-a-bout,” he said.
Breshears said the driver was cited for failure-to-yield to right of way and was found at fault for the collision.
The second case was a call about a 22-year-old trespassing on residential property, he said.
While the call was about trespassing, the charge that was eventually filed was for residential burglary and malicious mischief, Breshears said.
The charge of residential burglary means that the suspect entered or remained unlawfully on a resident’s property, he said.
The suspect is Pullman resident Paul Hurt, who knew the residents, however, when asked to leave the property, he refused. The residents attempted to use force to get Hurt to leave. Hurt broke a foul pole on his exit, Breshears said.
Once he was forced out of the house, Hurt attempted to re-enter the premises, which led to the police being notified, he said.
The final reported crime was a call regarding two males that were heard damaging a vehicle, Breshears said.
However, when police arrived at the location, no damage to any vehicles was found and there were no people in the area that fit the description, he said.
“It is likely that they were hearing two people shouting in the area and inferred what was happening,” Breshears said.
