Jeff Bezos is interested in buying an NFL team, more specifically the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Commanders.

The founder and executive chairman of Amazon has a net worth of almost $120 billion. He is one of the wealthiest people in the world.

He has been linked to buying the Washington Commanders for years but was recently shut down by current owner Dan Snyder. He was reportedly “benched” from trying to buy the team, according to the New York Post.

The Washington owner Snyder is trying to force his way to be able to keep his team, however, he may be forced out of the position by other NFL owners. This may be the possible team that Bezos owns.

Bezos has also been outspoken about buying the Seahawks. He said that he might be more interested in buying the team in Seattle, perhaps because he founded Amazon in Bellevue and has its headquarters in Seattle.

The former owner of the Seahawks, Paul Allen, died in 2018. The team was then passed on to his sister Jody Allen. She is the team’s current owner and chairman.

Colts owner Jim Irsay said that with the team being passed to Jody it is likely that it is available to buy around 2024.

Look for Bezos to be in the market for an NFL team in the upcoming years, mainly Seattle and Washington as his first two options.
