Corrected on March 23. WSU Police Department responded to the scene, not Pullman Police Department.

A driver and one pedestrian were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a collision on the 20th of March during the afternoon that caused a car to flip near Veterans Way and Daggy Hall.

According to WSU Police Department Assistant Chief Dawn Daniels, two female students were crossing Veterans Way around 1 p.m. Monday, when a male student hit one and grazed the other with his car. The vehicle hit an embankment after colliding with the pedestrian and flipped the car.

The driver was sent to the hospital initially with possible life-threatening injuries, but has now been confirmed by Daniels to be minor. The pedestrian in the accident was sent with minor injuries.

Veterans Way is an authorized vehicle-only road, on which WSU PD is still investigating to find whether or not the driver was authorized to be on, Daniels said.
