On Oct. 12, WSU Athletics named Iman Isanovic the female Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for September for her work in the classroom and dominance on the court.
The native of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and a transfer from Arizona State is a graduate student working toward her master’s in political science. Through September, she has a 4.0 GPA and has been getting it done in the classroom.
While with the Sun Devils, she was a two-time member of the CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-District Team in 2021–22 and she was a CoSIDA Academic All-America member in 2021.
Isanovic is the active leader in career kills in the Pac-12 and has not missed a step for the Cougs in 2023. In 17 matches, she has 201 kills on 3.41 per set and a hitting percentage of .309%. Adding 16 blocks and 82 digs, her defense has been enough for what WSU needs to thrive.
The outside hitter and the rest of the WSU volleyball team will be back in action at 6 p.m. Friday as they take on Utah in Bohler Gym.
