A bus was hit head-on by a pickup truck in Colfax at 10 p.m. Thursday.

The bus, owned and operated by Cheney Church of the Nazarene and driven by Shane Endicott, was transporting youth for a church activity when it was hit by a pickup truck driven by Jill Hogan of Spokane, according to a Colfax press release.

Witnesses said the pickup was headed northbound and crossed the center-line striking the bus headed southbound on Main St., according to the release.

The driver and juvenile passengers of the pickup, as well as several occupants of the bus, were transported to Whitman Hospital, according to the release. 

Colfax Police Officer Matt Malakowsky said they believe Hogan was intoxicated at the time of the crash, but the cause is still under investigation.
