A Pullman resident was arrested Tuesday night for 2nd-degree murder.
Officers responded to a welfare check on a Pullman woman and when they arrived discovered she had sustained serious injuries as a result of an assault, according to the Pullman Police Department Facebook post.
Even with medics providing lifesaving measures, the woman died at the scene, according to the post. At 9:12 p.m. officers arrested 36-year-old Jacob E. Spray, the woman’s estranged husband.
He was booked into the Whitman County Jail and Pullman Police detectives continue to investigate the incident actively, according to the post.
Information, including the victim’s identity, will be released at a later time as the Whitman Country Coroner’s Office continues with its investigation, according to the post.
