WSU has added a game to its 2025 football schedule for the second day in a row. The Cougs will take on the Colorado State Rams Sept. 27, 2025, at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collings, Colo.
The game will be the third between the two schools in four years with WSU defeating the Rams in each of the last two seasons at home and away. It also marks a matchup between future conference foes as CSU is set to join the Pac-12 beginning in the 2026-27 season.
It is the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools, with the first coming in 2013, WSU’s lone loss in the series.
With the matchup being Sept. 27, 2025, the game at Virginia will be moved. The Cougs will now face the Cavaliers Oct. 18, 2025.
WSU decided to go back to a familiar well with newfound ties to the future Pac-12 school which they have met with several times recently. The move follows Wednesday’s similar move to add Oregon State to the 2025 schedule for a second matchup.
The matchup now marks the 11th contest of the 2025 season for WSU, needing just one more. With the changes, here is how the 2025 schedule currently stacks up.
