Welcome to the WSU Transfer Portal Tracker, where we’ll be tracking every transfer in and out of Wazzu this college football offseason. This page will be updated regularly
So far, there are 17 players from Washington State who have entered the transfer portal, including six of the Cougs 24 starters. Coach Jake Dickert estimated that 15-20 players total would enter.Â
Note that players in the portal are still allowed to return to WSU.
The portal is open from December 9th until December 28th.
TRANSFER’S OUT:Â
WR Kris Hutson: (starter)
- Senior caught 54 passes for 683 yards in 2024 as WSU’s No. 2 WR
- also had a running touchdown
- transferred to WSU last winter from Oregon after missing 2023 due to injuries
- one year of eligibility remains
- Hutson is the first player to enter the portal after previously being posted by the Cougar Collective X account. It is currently unclear whether the Cougar Collective X posts are in any way related to players decisions regarding the transfer portal.
RB Wayshawn Parker: (starter)
- True freshman was Cougars starting RB in 2024. He has announced his intent to transfer.
- expected to receive plenty of interest with three years left of eligible
CB Ethan O’Conner: (starter)
- The true freshman came to WSU after previously committing to UCLA, and led the team with four interceptions. He has announced his intent to transfer
- expected to receive interest from top schools in the SEC and BIG 10
DT Ansel Din-Mbuh: (starter)
- Sophomore broke out with three sacks @ SDSU
- finished season with 24 tackles and six sacks
S Jackson Lataimua
- Has played strong safety, nickel corner and special teams over the past two seasons with the Cougars
- in 2024 he played 11 games and 32 tackles
- started in September but did only started one of the Cougars final seven games
CB Warren Smith:
- redshirt freshman, has appeared in eight games in 2024 and made one tackle, mostly on special teams
- expected to go somewhere where he will get more playing time
DT Khalil Laufau: (starter)
- sophomore recorded four sacks and five tackles for loss
- has two years left of eligibility
WR Brandon Hills:
- Redshirt freshman who was named the No. 6 prospect out of Colorado coming out of high school
- has not yet appeared in a game for the Cougs
P Nick Haberer: (starter)
- Australian averaged 42.9 yards per punt over four years at WSU
- limited to four games in 2024 due to back injury
- one year of eligibility remaining
G Landon Roaten:
- played eight games on special teams in three seasons at WSU
- two years of eligibility remaining
OT Luke Roaten:
- twin brother with Landon Roaten
- played just one game, limited with multiple injuries in his time at WSU
- two years of eligibility remaining
DT Hyrum-Benjamin Moors
- got hurt during camp and did not appear in any game action as a Cougar
LB Tai Faavae
- Redshirt freshman, did not appear in any games as a Coug
TE Makhi Whitney
- two-year member of the scout team
- walked on in 2023
CB King Williams:
- three-year member of the scout team
- walked on in 2022
S Aslan Fraser:
- walked on in 2023, has not appeared in a game
QB: Brady McKelheer
- walked on, has not appeared in a game
