The first transfer-portal withdrawal of the 2024-25 offseason is Jamorri Colson, who is returning to WSU for 2025.
The junior cornerback previously intended to transfer. He announced the day after Christmas that he would be withdrawing from the portal and is now set to return to Pullman in 2025.
Colson contributed eleven tackles, two assists, one interception, a forced fumble and a pass defended in 2024. He played in the Holiday Bowl on Friday, and will likely now be in line for in increased role in 2025, with starting corner Ethan O’Conner set to transfer.
Colson is the first of over thirty Cougs in the portal to return to WSU. Players often test the waters of the portal, but if the opportunities they are looking for aren’t there, they always have the option to come back.
