Junior wide receiver Tre Shackelford is returning to WSU, he announced via his personal X account on Friday.
He joins Jamorri Colson as the second player to withdraw from the transfer portal and return to Pullman.
“I will be withdrawing my name from the transfer portal,” he wrote on X.
Shackelford caught ten passes for 144 yards and a touchdown in 2024. Although he did not catch a pass in any of the Cougs final five games of the season, Shackelford showed flashes of talent. With Kyle Williams graduating and Kris Hutson transferring, Shackelford could be in line for a much bigger role in the offense next year.
He will join the new coaching staff led by Jimmy Rogers.
