Pullman Police Officers arrested a 19-year-old Pullman man on Sunday for allegedly raping a woman inside her home.
Cavan McCall faces multiple felony charges, including four counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree assault by strangulation and one count of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation, according to the Whitman County inmate listing website.
Acting Police Chief Aaron Breshears said officers arrested McCall the same day a woman reported the alleged rape to police. McCall was arrested at his residence in Pullman.
Breshears said this case is still an active investigation.
“We will continue to investigate and process evidence, along with the state crime lab to gain more evidence and solidify the case,” he said.
According to a Pullman Radio News article, police officers said in court documents that this is not McCall’s first offense as he is charged in another rape case with similar allegations. McCall is being held on a half a million dollar bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Whitman County Superior Court on Friday.
