WSU and student organizations have planned a variety of events to jumpstart student involvement in 2025. Despite the calm academic schedule of syllabus week, campus activities are in full swing and now is the time to get involved.
UREC All Access Week
When: All week, ending Saturday
What: Free classes in martial arts, boxing, dance, pole fitness and yoga. Visit the UREC website for specific times and locations of sample classes. It is a great way to kickstart New Year’s resolutions!
All Access Week: Intramural Information
Where: UREC
When: 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Thursday
What: Stop by the UREC information desk to learn about this semester’s intramurals. Get involved in competitions with fellow students while staying active. Scheduled sports include basketball, volleyball, pickleball and more.
Nuthouse Comedy Improv Show
Where: Butch’s Den, CUB Basement
When: 6–7 p.m. Friday
What: Hosted by STAGE Student Theater, Nuthouse Comedy kicks off the semester with a night of casual improv. Join the talented improv team and share a few laughs.
Black Student Union Bingo Night
Where: Todd Hall, Room 276
When: 6:15–8 p.m. Friday
What: Join BSUÂ for a fun bingo night to start the semester. Play for the chance to win prizes.
Monday Movie Madness
Where: CUB Auditorium
When: 4–6 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Monday
What: Saturday Night (2024), starring Gabriel LaBelle, explores Lorne Michaels preparing the cast for the first-ever episode of Saturday Night Live in 1975.
Admission: Free for WSU students; $5 for non-students

As life gets hectic and classes get busy, it’s important to maintain a balance between school and life. Getting involved early with weekly movie nights, fitness classes or multicultural events can help build healthy habits and a sense of community on campus.
