New head coach Jimmy Rogers and the WSU Cougar football program continue to build out their roster for 2025 and have now added a three-star tight end from the Big 10. Ademola Faleye, a 6-foot-7 junior, is leaving Michigan State for WSU.
Faleye, who hails from Michigan, started his career at the FCS level with Norfolk State as a freshman in 2021. He caught five passes for 38 yards and a touchdown that year. In 2022, he caught four passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.
In 2023, he transferred to Michigan State, where he took a year to redshirt. In 2024, as their backup tight end, he was primarily a blocking tight end, catching just two passes for 18 yards.
Faleye could challenge sophomore Trey Leckner to be the Cougs’ starting tight end next season, though his stats seem to indicate he is not much of a pass catcher. However, he has strong physical traits and spent the past two years in a Big 10 program. Getting an opportunity to play more in Pullman might be just what Faleye needs to break out.
He is the first Power 5 transfer coming to WSU. The majority of the transfers headed to Pullman are following Rogers from South Dakota State.
