The Little Caesars upcoming location in Washington State University’s Compton Union Building may open later than expected.
“We are hoping that the location will still be ready to open towards the end of spring,” said Karee Shaw, CUB event services and operations director. “Unfortunately, I cannot confirm any firm timeline at this point. That is just the nature of construction projects right now.”
This update follows a WSU Insider article by Steve Nakata October 2024 announcing a partnership with Little Caesar’s and a food court location in the CUB opening in the spring.
The opening of the Little Caesars CUB location will be the third rendition of pizza in the CUB, following Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen in 2007 and Pizza Pipeline in 2013.
“While it is taking a little bit of time, it is going to be impressive when we roll this out,” said Student Affairs coordinator Sarah Larson.
Dining Services at WSU will operate the Little Caesars unit in a smaller form than a standard storefront.
“We are doing what Little Caesar’s calls their express unit, so it is a smaller menu, but we will have pizza, Crazy Bread and a variety of options,” Larson said.
While changes may be delayed, students will begin seeing changes in the food court in the next few weeks, Shaw said.
