Summit educates on water value
October 16, 2017
Palouse Basin Water Summit looks to educate the community about water consumption in the Palouse area.
This year’s theme, “Imagine a Day Without Water,” focuses on the value of water in our daily lives and the impact on life if water was gone, according to a news release.
The summit will feature keynote speaker Patricia Mulroy, an expert in water resources policy, Colorado River Basin resources and water resource technology. The Moscow and Pullman Wisescape Guidebook will be released, according to a news release.
Wisescape concepts are water-efficient landscape designs in the Palouse area, meant to reduce overall resource use, according to the City of Moscow website.
The summit will also serve appetizers, have a no-host bar and raffle for a high-efficiency toilet and personalized wisescaping plan.
The Palouse Basin Water Summit will take place at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Schweitzer Event Center. The summit welcomes all community members, but they are encouraged to register through their website. Admission is free.
