Sorority fundraiser recognized nationally
October 28, 2014
Alpha Gamma Delta (AGD) sorority’s local Delta Beta chapter received recognition yesterday by the AGD foundation for their donations to the foundation.
AGD raised approximately $50,000 during the 2013-2014 fiscal year. This fundraising ranks first, with the University of Washington’s Iota chapter falling in third with $18,640.
The AGD Foundation is a public charity that supports each chapter and their communities, according to their website.
Some of the programs that are supported include educational grants, emergency grants, undergraduate and graduate scholarships, diabetes research and treatment, and disaster relief.
This is all supported by donations and directly impacts the AGD’s Pullman community, according to their website.
Donations are accepted from members, parents, chapters, and alumnae groups.
