WSU freshman outside wide receiver Drue Jackson, a member of the Cougars 2018 recruiting class, has decided to transfer from the football program. He announced his decision in a tweet Tuesday morning.

“First I want to thank the coaching staff here at Washington State University for giving me the opportunity to play college football and live out my dreams,” Jackson wrote on Twitter. “With many long conversations and prayers with God, family, and love ones, I will be transferring from WSU.”

Jackson was rated as a four star recruit coming out of Sachse High School in Texas, according to rivals.com. He received offers from 13 other schools including University of Colorado and University of Utah and was also regarded as the 246th best prospect in the nation by rivals.com.
