Teenage female tests positive for COVID-19
Third confirmed case identified in Whitman County; at least 69 negative tests

A female in her teens tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday morning. She is the third confirmed case in Whitman County, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.
Health officials are investigating the patient’s close contacts, according to the press release.
There are at least 69 tests where patients were confirmed negative, according to the Whitman County Health Department website.
According to another press release from the Whitman County EOC, meetings of the Whitman County Commissioners are now closed to public attendance to comply with Gov. Jay Inslee’s stay at home order. Only employees essential for the conduct of the meetings will be allowed to attend in person.
The meeting will be conducted over Zoom and is open to the public.
