In general, August is one of my favorite months. New school supplies, good weather and a fresh set of straight A’s to try not to ruin are just some of the highlights every fall. Luckily these are some of the things that even COVID-19 cannot ruin for us.

Now, my beloved festival season on the other hand … Well, she died in March, and I’m still in mourning. Usually, you can catch me at events like Hard Summer, Audiotistic, Beyond Wonderland PNW (if only), Bass Canyon and Outside Lands dancing my heart out making memories with new and lifelong friends.

With my nights under massive speakers and skies full of lasers on pause for a little while, I set out to find the best music possible to try and pretend like the world is not over.

“I Found You” is basically the epitome of a raving Cougs dream. Andy Grammar and Cash Cash (fun fact: he played here in 2016 with Up&Up) just sound like driving to the beach with your best friends. “i think too much” by Christian French has quickly become basically my anthem. It totally has helped with some of the anxiety I have been finding myself with since corona started.
