Weekend COVID-19 numbers rise by 143 cases
All new patients are aged 1-19 or 20-39 years; they are all stable and self-isolating

One-hundred and forty-three individuals tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, bringing Whitman County’s total to 485 cases.
Sixty-three patients were confirmed today, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Of the new patients, 16 females and eight males are aged 1-19 years. Thirty-nine patients are aged 20-39 years; 23 are females and 16 are males. They are all stable and self-isolating.
Fifty-eight patients tested positive on Saturday, according to a press release from that day. Twenty-two patients are aged 1-19 years; 17 are females and five are males. Thirty-six patients are aged 20-39 years; 12 are females and 24 are males. They are all stable and self-isolating.
Twenty-two patients were confirmed on Friday, according to that day’s press release. Of the patients, four females and two males are aged 1-19 years. Sixteen patients are aged 20-39 years. Thirteen are females and three are males.
Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing in public, as well as avoid gatherings of over 10 people.

It’s hard not to be incredulous when considering that the university had hoped that students would self-isolate, wear masks and maintain a safe social distance while attending school. Besides putting the local residence at dramatic risk, the University has become a super spreader.
What is the University’s plan? Will WSU wait until 20% or the student population is infected… 50%… till kids start dying?
Yes, the student had paid and signed leases for housing and yes, the school is already losing thousands of dollars but what will the actual cost of allowing things to continue this way?
