Whitman County confirms 43 new cases
County’s numbers may not be accurate due to delay in lab results; 27 individuals tested positive in 20-39 age range

Forty-three individuals tested positive for COVID-19, bringing Whitman County’s total to 913 cases.
Of those who tested positive, six females and nine males are in the 0-19 age range, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Fourteen females and 13 males are in the 20-39 age range. One male is in the 40-59 age range.
All patients are stable and self-isolating, according to the press release.
Whitman County’s numbers are artificially reduced because there is a delay in receiving lab results, according to the press release.
There have been four outbreaks in congregate settings, including a long-term care facility, Greek housing, and dorms, within the last three weeks, according to the press release.
Residents are reminded to practice social distancing and wear masks.
