One individual tested positive for COVID-19, bringing Whitman County’s total to 1,066.

The new patient is female and aged 20-39 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. The patient is stable and self-isolating.

Concerns about air quality have hindered testing. People should not assume the decrease in positive test results means there is a decrease in COVID-19 viral infections, according to the press release.

Residents are reminded to practice social distancing and wear masks.
