The county’s first COVID-19-related death was confirmed today by the Whitman County Health Department. 

The patient was female aged 60-79 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. 

COVID-19 is dangerous for high-risk individuals, especially those who are pregnant, over 60 years old or with prior health conditions, according to the press release.
