The WSU mobile app will experience a brief outage Wednesday between 8 and 9 p.m. for maintenance.

The maintenance will make the app show communication error messages for five minutes within the one-hour window, said Jacqueline Southwick, Information Technology Services communications manager.

The app’s efficiency, functionality and support will be improved by the maintenance, she said.

The mobile app works as a central hub for multiple different applications, Southwick said. The applications will remain operational during the maintenance but must be accessed outside of the app.

Maintenance updates are common throughout the life of an app as new ways to increase functionality are identified, she said.
